DWELLING PROJECT
This is a project that I was tasked to do when was in Year 1. The design intent statement is to design a dwelling in a school context where my client will be able to do her work, rest and play. The dwelling is required to have moveable and transformable elements. Hence, I designed it in such a way that it can be an open space that can be converted into a private area whenever she wants to have some alone time.
I was able to learn more about user analysis, design translation, site analysis, spatial planning, and new techniques during crafting.
This was my favorite project back in Year 1 as I love the process of the ideation. I love designing while thinking of having elements that are transformable and dual function as houses in Singapore nowadays are getting smaller in size. Hence, this was very useful and fun to me due to my passion for residential interior design.
