This is my Final Year Project that I did in my Year 3. My Atelier is called “The Age Of Us”. My Atelier’s Premises is to create a self-sustainable proto-capsule facility that emphasize the principles of Biophilic-design and generate over a period of 5,10 and 50 years. It should also incorporate Biomimicry principles and interactive design elements. The focus of the capsule is for it to be self-sustaining, relaxing and recreational. The design proposal is for a Recreational Hub designed for teenagers, young adults & families. It will be a self-sustainable proto-capsule that generates throughout 5, 10, 50 years, emphasizes the principles of Biophilic-design and responds to rising sea levels and the increase in temperature. The concept for space is Coastal & Contemporary style. This is achieved by using materials like wood, fast-growing bamboo, and photovoltaic panels. Visitors will feel relaxed and comfortable in the space while being able to socialize, observe, exercise, relax and have fun.
